Almost three decades ago, when the UAE was just beginning its rise as a regional economic powerhouse, a modest dream took shape in the heart of Sharjah. That dream belonged to Bilal Mukri, affectionately known as Billy, whose passion for traditional craftsmanship and eye for distinctive design would go on to define Pinky Furniture as a household name in premium handcrafted wood furniture.
The journey began in 1981, with the opening of a small shop called Imtiaz Handicrafts and Gifts, nestled within the Sharjah Heritage and Cultural Souq. Alongside him on this journey was his wife, Parvin, who played an integral role in managing and nurturing the business as a business partner from its early days. Together, they built more than just a shop; they created a trusted destination for quality, authenticity, and artistry.
The Dream Gets Bigger
As the demand for wooden décor and furnishings grew, Bilal expanded the product range to include handcrafted furniture. In 1989, the business was rebranded as Pinky Furniture and Handicrafts signal a new chapter of growth. With loyal customers from Sharjah, across the Emirates, and the wider GCC region, Pinky Furniture quickly evolved from a small family-run store into a reputable brand.
To accommodate this expansion, the business relocated to a larger space in the Sharjah Industrial Area, a move that catalyzed its growth. Today, Pinky Furniture operates from three expansive warehouses, offering a curated collection of both classic and contemporary solid wood furniture, all crafted by a team of skilled, handpicked artisans.
